Water restoration work in Tampa is different than anywhere else. The humidity never lets up, afternoon storms roll through without much warning, and water finds its way into places that surprise even people who’ve lived here thirty years. The crew that shows up at your door has to know this city’s houses, its slab foundations, its older neighborhoods with cast-iron supply lines, and its newer builds with PEX running through attics. Our Tampa team is made up of people who’ve worked thousands of local jobs and still treat every one like it’s the first house on the street. They’re background-checked, uniformed, IICRC-, RIA-, and IFA-credentialed, and they carry shoe covers and drop cloths on every truck. But mostly they’re people who live here, who know what a tide mark looks like on drywall in Davis Islands versus a bungalow in Seminole Heights, and who take the 365-Day Done Right Promise personally.
Restoration work we handle

Our People
Mike R. – Lead Technician, Water Mitigation
Mike has spent 14 years in water damage restoration, the last nine of them with Tidemark in Tampa. He holds IICRC certifications in Water Damage Restoration and Applied Structural Drying, and he’s the technician our newer team members shadow before they run jobs on their own. Mike is the one who taught most of our crew a simple rule: a tide mark is the line water leaves on a wall, and finding it is the first move on every job, because the moisture you can’t see is what causes problems six months later. He’s worked through three bad hurricane seasons in Tampa and still says the most common call he takes is a supply line under a kitchen sink that has been quietly dripping since before anyone noticed. On weekends, Mike rebuilds old two-stroke outboards in his garage in Brandon, which his wife says is a hobby. He calls it practice for diagnosing problems that have been getting worse for years.
Dana L. – Senior Mold Remediation Specialist
Dana has been with Tidemark for seven years and carries RIA and IICRC credentials in mold remediation and water restoration. She’s the person we send when a homeowner has already tried to handle mold themselves and wants to know whether it worked. Dana’s specialty is containment, setting up negative air and sealing off affected areas so spores don’t move through a house during removal, and she’s exacting about it in a way that reassures people. She grew up in Tampa, went to Plant High School, and has a dry observation about the city’s climate: nothing ever really dries on its own here, which is why professional drying equipment matters. Dana is also the crew member most likely to ask before she moves anything, a C.A.R.E. habit she drills into every trainee. She keeps a small notebook where she logs every containment she’s built, with notes on what worked and what she’d adjust.
Kenny W. – Service Coordinator
Kenny is the voice most people hear first when they call Tidemark Water Damage Tampa at (850) 828-8896. He has been with us for six years and worked as a field technician for four of them before moving into coordination, so when a homeowner describes what they’re seeing, Kenny can usually picture exactly what’s happening. He’s the person who builds the job schedule, lines up the equipment, and makes sure a written price is prepared before the crew arrives, because no job at Tidemark starts without one. Kenny is originally from St. Pete and has an encyclopedic memory of Tampa neighborhoods, which helps when someone calls and says their street floods every time it rains for more than twenty minutes. He answers the phone at 2 a.m. the same way he does at 2 p.m., with a question about what happened and a plan for who he’s sending.
Tony M. – Restoration Technician, Apprentice
Tony joined the Tidemark Tampa team two years ago after working in apartment maintenance in Temple Terrace. He’s working toward his IICRC water restoration certification under Mike’s supervision and handles a lot of the day-to-day work: moving equipment, tracking drying progress with moisture meters, and documenting the process. Tony is the person who takes the photo of the clean-up before the crew leaves every job, a step we do without exception, and he’s gotten particular about it in a way we appreciate. His routine is consistent: floors protected before the first piece of equipment comes in, shoe covers on at the door, and the customer’s belongings noted before anything gets touched. Tony plays bass in a weekend band and says moving air movers all day is better practice than most people would think.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Tidemark location is independently owned and operated, working to the Cedarwell Care Promise, and in Tampa that means this specific crew shows up to do the work. The standard they hold is the same every time: IICRC-, RIA-, and IFA-credentialed technicians running professional-grade equipment from Dri-Eaz, Phoenix, XPOWER, B-Air, and Injectidry. Shoe covers go on at the door. Drop cloths cover the floor before the first piece of equipment comes in. We ask before we move or touch anything, and we explain the price before the work starts, in writing, every time. The 365-Day Done Right Promise applies to every water, mold, and fire job this team completes, and that promise is only as good as the people who carry it out. In Tampa, these are the people.
